Seaside wedding but stuck on place settings.

Oh likes single trivial pursuit card in a gold envelope.

I like small message in a bottle.

Opinions please.

Also its only forty people. Do I need a table plan or just names on table?

Thanks

I love the message in a bottle idea.
I think you need a seating plan it saves embarrassment.
People who know each other will all try and sit together and then if some people don't get there on time you could have couples who get split up.
I think it is essential to have a seating plan.
Have a lovely wedding

The messages in a bottle are lovely.

A table plan is a must! I hate going to weddings without a table plan. All that faffing around trying to find my seat.

Message in a bottle fits with a seaside wedding. Definitely do a seating plan, otherwise you could end up with unhappy guests.

I agree you must have a seating plan (presuming you want people to sit in particular places and it's not a buffet in a yurt or something).

Not too keen on the message in a bottle business - I can see it fits a nautical theme, but it's a bit difficult to read the name. Can you not just have the name written on a folded card, so it stands up and is easy to read for everyone ? Confused

Thanks guys! Seating plan it is. Whatnot you think about this?

Guests enter and while ordering drinks see box with sand with message in a bottle. It will have name and table number.

Or bottles already on table with beach hut table plan on wall?

I would say bottles already on table plan :)

That should be ... bottles on table, plan on wall!

robinlovesfatman · 29/05/2015 08:43

Wish, do you mean bottles on table or sand?

Or what about on a folded a4 sheet that I will peg to confetti bag which will be handed out?

Honestly... I really think you are over thinking this, and creating unnecessary work for yourself.
Just put name cards in the places on the table, and draw out a "map" of who is sitting where, that folk can look at while mingling when they first arrive. The venue might already have a template for that.

I love the beach huts and messages in bottles

(No one else will remember this stuff about your wedding, but if you have the time and money to do it don't let miseries put you off Smile)
