where did you go on your honeymoon?

Hi All,

DP and I are getting married soon, though no specific date yet due to illness in the close family. I love flicking through the holiday brochures and speculating where we may go for our honeymoon. Where did you go? I'm thinking we should go somewhere long haul as this is really our only chance to justify spending so much money on a few weeks away.

We're going to Mexico after our wedding in November- can't wait! We chose this destination for similar reasons to yours!

Congratulations! We went to Borneo. It was so amazing. We stopped in Singapore for a few nights on the way out and Kuala Lumpur for a couple of nights on the way back. In borneo we stayed at the Rasa Ria. Beautiful hotel, highly recommend .

Mauritius

We went to Hua Hin, Thailand 2 days after we got married. Stayed at the Anantara, it was a beautiful hotel. We wanted an 'us' holiday that was really special without the 4 dc in tow. We had romantic dinners, spa days, rode elephants, it was an amazing week. It was 'wet season' which made it cheaper but it was gloriously hot, sunny and only rained once.

Wow they all sound amazing! I'm seriously contemplating Australia, though not sure we can justify that much of an expense!

Mind you, have found some pretty decent 2 week package holidays for just over £1000 each. That's pretty on par with Mauritius which we've also been contemplating
