Present etiquette for evening

HelenaDove · 17/12/2014 00:21

Ive been invited to the evening reception for a a friends wedding. The wedding itself is during the day as is the early reception. I have no problem with this at all.
I was wondering what sort of present to buy as its evening. Ive only ever been to 3 weddings in my life and one of them was mine.
Any ideas tips or advice gratefully received.

A bottle of champagne....

A photo frame....

I wouldn't overthink it.

Have a nice time

I would ask if they have a gift list, then take it from there.

£20 - £30 in a nice card

I personally wouldn't expect my evening guests to bring any sort of gift whatsoever, and would feel a little embarrassed if they did (but I guess it's a personal thing).

I wouldn't worry at all about anything from the gift list unless you really want to get them something a little more expensive. Bring them anything you want, seriously!

I always take a bottle of fizz
