Fabric for wedding dress

Hi all,

I would like to copy a Chanel dress worn by Jennifer Aniston a few years ago as my wedding dress but no idea where to start searching for the right fabric: i2.cdnds.net/13/38/300x450/jennifer-aniston-chanel.jpg

Any suggestions, please?

Thank you!

Try a sari shop or Indian material shop, although white might be a bit difficult to get - it's traditionally used for funerals you will find loads of material with gold/silver in them.

Monsoon actually did a copy of that dress at the time. Try searching on eBay?

I went into a charity shop with wedding dresses in yesterday (they had a £10 sale!) and thought about just how much material there were in some of the dresses, ready shaped and made into skirts / bodices etc. Is this worth a thought? Depends how good you are at sewing / repurposing...
