Is there any point in a small handbag for a wedding?

As a guest with two DD I will need space for spare shoes, clothes, snacks, pens, ds, iPads. So I will end up taking a tote anyway, so why shell out for a 'clutch' or small shoulder bag that will be shoved inside this tote? Will I look like I'm going shopping tho? I don't have a buggy any more, so nowhere to hang a big bag. Any tips for a nice neutral tote, not expensive ...

I have a bag just for this purpose. I think it was a Matalan buy... sort of a creamy colour with structured handles. I miss clutches but tbh I rarely take dd to weddings - she usually has a sleepover at Nanas.

Will see if I can find a link to mine or a similar bag

sparkly tote? Would fit all your stuff in but also a bit more glam for a wedding?

Not neutral, but I love this one and it would look a bit more special for a wedding...www.johnlewis.com/collection-weekend-by-john-lewis-morgan-leather-tote-handbag/p395766?colour=Silver
