Just thought I'd share that we've finally posted our invites! Stayed up until midnight yesterday writing them all out. My advice to any future brides/grooms, start earlier in the evening! Grin

How exciting. What are they like ?

peeveddoesntcoverit · 28/11/2013 17:20

We made them, so they're on powder blue card, with a yellow ribbon vertically on the left side, then I knitted a yellow heart to stick on the front. I was pretty proud of them if I'm honest. Grin

They do sound lovely, did you knit the little hearts yourself?

Well done OP!

When's the wedding? That's something we need to think about v soon, I'm hopeless with creative things plus how much does it cost approximately...?

Think I'd like to send out emails- I know it's not traditional or personal but I'm starting to think we could spend the money on other things!

purpleroses · 14/12/2013 19:19

We did ours almost entirely by email (as an attachment they could print if they wanted). Actually realised that for about half our guest list I didn't actually know their postal address. We'd have had to email them to ask them their addresses, just so that we could post an invite. Email is nice because lots of people replied with a personal message, and some of them I've exchanged a few emails with since, discussing the wedding and the rest of life, so actually much more personal communication than you'd get from a postal invite and letter of acceptance. They all seem to have been fine about it, even my great aunt, with the exception of STB MIL who said she would like a printed version please Grin

Your invites do sound lovely though OP - wish I was that creative!
