Blue wedding dress civil marriage!

I bought a trad white wedding dress last week because we're having two celebrations, a small quick one in a civil reception and a big one in a castle (but next year).

I was going to wear the white one to the civil, but now I've just bought this, and I love it:

I can pair it with gorgeous blue shoes and I'd wear it again. I find it loads more fun than a big white thing, which was also lovely.

Is this mad? Anyone else done colour?

I had like a teal green. Gorgeous dress, and I've worn it for formal dos since. Smile

It's an established traditional lucky colour. Go for it!

Thanks scaevola, I didn't know that! My mum married in blue and 37 years on still going strong!

I also like the idea because no women on my mum's side have had a tradish wedding dress. As long as I get to wear the white one at some point...

I had a civil marriage just DH and a couple of people. I wore a lovely blue shift dress i found by accident a couple of days earlier. I loved it and still wear the dress on occasion.

I also had a big ceremony where I got to wear a big white dress. Which was fun for the day.

Do wear blue and have a lovely day!
