anyone hired a bus to take evening guests home?

were thinking about it as venue is about 45 mins from where the majority of our guests are

Not done it, but have used one as a guest, where we were all staying at different hotels and B&Bs, and the bus picked us up and took us to church, on to the reception then back. It was great!

did they mention it in the invites?

thinking of it just for taking people home as there's 75 in the day from 2.30pm then 100 at night. We hoped people would make their own way there but be too tipsy to drive back!!

hotel has 16 rooms so staying over isn't an option for many

We went to a wedding two years ago that did this. No idea how much it cost.

We've hired a coach to take guests from ceremony to reception venue. It cost £500.

I did this for my wedding in 2006.

We hired a bus from my home town to take evening guests to the reception which was about 40 miles away. It then took them home again.

I hired another bus to take another lot from venue back to the hotel they were all staying at in Edinburgh.

I got married in the middle of no where so it seemed the right thing to do.

I put it in the save the dates card and asked people to confirm to me if they wanted a bus place - then I knew what size of bus to use.

I had 2 different companies - one from the home town area and one from the Edinburgh area.

Worked a treat - people really appreciated it.

Can't remember how much it cost but it was a good few hundred.
