Question regarding invitation times!

In the process of ordering some invitations for my wedding and I'm getting in a muddle about the timings!

The actual ceremony starts at 3:00pm, so is that the time we put on the invitation? Or should it be the time we except people to start arriving so maybe 2:30?

If we put 2:30 but don't get married till 3:00 will people think we are running late?!

Any opinions on this would be great! Smile

I would put "arrive at 2:45 for a 3pm start"

If you put that it starts at 2:30, some people will arrive at 2:15. They are not going to thank you for having to hang around for 45mins. Let them know what time it actually stars, they are all adults, and if they are late, well then they're late. Not the end of the world.

Just put 3pm. People will know that they have to get their arses on pews/chairs before you arrive.

Just put the time of wedding ceremony on invitation. We included a little print out of 'useful info', eg places to stay, transport etc, so you could always include info like when people could start arriving?

Ok thank you for your replies. Think we will go with 3:00 then!

Feeling very nervous about getting these printed, don't want to balls it all up Confused
