A few 10p sweet mixes on every table at the reception, in proper paper bags. I thought it was a really cool idea Xmas Smile

Yes sounds lovely.

We had a sweetie bar at DD's wedding (2 days ago!) and it was very popular. We got loads of penny sweets from the local wholesaler, put them in jars and had scoops and paper bags for everyone to help themselves.

For favours they had home-made marmalade in little jars with pretty tops, and a name on each jar meant they doubled up as place names too.

That sounds nice.
We didn't bother with favours. Thought them as a pointless waste Ann's they are often left over

Sweets will be welcome. However, I don't get why people do wedding favours at all. I would never expect any at a wedding. We didn't do any, but 31 years ago they weren't the done thing anyway.
