nancerama · 25/06/2012 22:00

Baby I Love You - The Ramones, followed by Better when you're Naked - Ida Maria

peachypips · 25/06/2012 22:02

ScooseLooseAbootThisHoose · 25/06/2012 22:05

ladymariner · 25/06/2012 22:07

ours was Lonestar - Amazed

Hadn't heard it at a wedding before that but heard it at several since.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 26/06/2012 20:56

Nobody does it better by Carly Simon. It was DH's choice, but I quite liked it!

tattychicken · 26/06/2012 21:01

Maybe I'm amazed, Wings.

Tangointhenight · 26/06/2012 21:10

We've only just begun by the Carpenters...still makes me cry the words are so fitting!!

cocolepew · 26/06/2012 21:13

Unchained melody by the righteous brothers. It was my uncles favourite but he died before I was married. It made me feel like he was there for a few minutes.

Novia · 26/06/2012 21:13

I'll be there - The Parlotones. We got married 2 weeks ago and the lyrics were so beautiful and appropriate! YouTube it! :) Either way - have an amazing time!

HeffalumpsAndWoozles · 26/06/2012 21:28

'Every day I love you' by Boyzone

Whatever you choose it should mean something to you, doesn't have to be traditionally soppy just something that makes you both smile/cry/want to have a right good boogie and isn't by Chesney Hawkes :o

NellyBluth · 26/06/2012 21:33

We've decided not to get married, but before that had actually managed to narrow a potential first dance song down to a shortlist of...

Don't Stop Believin' - Journey (but this was a few years ago, so that's well and truly scrapped since the whole Glee debacle)

Take It Easy - The Eagles

Golden Years - David Bowie

Agree that you should pick a song that is important to you, rather than one that sounds like a first dance song. A friend of mine had that Groovejet/Spiller dance song as that was their song.

Elkieb · 26/06/2012 21:34

'I can hear music' by the Beach Boys is perfect. If only I'd remembered it through the haze of pregnancy and not whilst walking down the road 7 months later Blush

derekthehamster · 26/06/2012 21:34

Moon River, still love it Grin

Molehillmountain · 30/06/2012 23:39

"it had to be you" obnoxiously the line "for all your faults I love you still" referred to his faults not mine Grin

Molehillmountain · 30/06/2012 23:39

Autocorrect! Obviously not obnoxiously!

FadingAwayToAHippo · 22/07/2012 09:17

Getting married in 12 weeks, first dance will be Nothing Else Matters by Metallica then second dance will Life With You by the Proclaimers.

I can't wait :)

itsjustmeanon · 27/07/2012 14:42

We had Adele Make You Feel My Love. It was the only song we could both agree on. We're not very good dancers and wanted something we could sway to.

onebigwish · 27/07/2012 14:44

We have all the time in the world - louis armstrong

Cocodale · 27/07/2012 15:05

My husbands choice Bryan Adams Have you ever really loved a woman, a very pleasant surprise for me.

perplexedpirate · 27/07/2012 17:08

We had Something Changed by Pulp. We did a little dance to it too (outs self).

We walked down the aisle to Songs of Love by Divine Comedy and back up to Baby, I Love You by the Ramones.

The guy working there said it was the best music choice he'd heard for a wedding, which was nice. Smile

FaceCrack · 27/07/2012 17:10

We settled on what a wonderful world by Louis Armstrong.

Dh wanted afternoon delight from Anchorman Grin
