Where to start with wedding dress shopping?!

I'm getting married in 3 months and am at a bit of loss at where to start! Have a budget of around 1500 pounds. I don't think I have enough time to get something made. Or am I wrong? Style-wise, love Temperley but obviously over budget.

I live in northwest London, can anyone recommend somewhere to go and start looking?

There is a lady in Berkshire who sells samples and pre loved wedding dresses from loads of designers. Her company is Berkshire Brides. www.berkshire-brides.co.uk/

I believe that one of her daughters has opened a similar business somewhere in North London. It might be worth getting in touch to find out.

The experience isn't the same as a bridal boutique, but it's an amazing place to sample a huge variety of styles and designers.

Brilliant thank you so much. I will call and ask, if not, a trip to Berkshire isn't impossible...

You may have a large enough budget - I know this designer in London is popular and her prices are quoted as £1500-2000.

Regardless I would suggest going to a bridal boutique first to get an idea of styles and what you like. And it's fun!

Oh sorry, you thought you didn't have enough TIME, not enough budget! I think you probably do have time, based on how busy they are.

If you like Temperley, what about checking out Blackburn Bridal in Blackheath - they have a lot of Claire Pettibone etc which are similar in feel.

Great thank you, I will have a look at that now!

You can get lovely Justin Alexander dresses for under £1500, although you may be a bit tight on time!
