DIY Wedding - Buying flowers from Western International Market

Hi Has anyone done this? How does it work? I understand that I can go in but what sort of quantities do you have to buy and what time do you need to be there? It's my nephew's wedding in July and I have been volunteered to do the flowers along with my sister (mother of the groom)

I dis but 9 years ago. I assume it hasnt changed much.
You need to be there about 4 in the morning (i think you can go earlier). Take lots of cash (no cards/cheques). You park in the car park, the flower market was quite a way in but check website for a map.
I would suggest going in a week or 2 before hand to check the sort of thing they have so not in a panic. The only warning is that everything is on cash ir account and obviously you will not have an account with any of the wholesalers. I was told that some wholesalers only did accounts but I didnt work out who. Might want to check before you start gathering armfulls of flowers.

Been a while since I've been to Western International. You used to have to pay £5 for the car park (five or so years ago). They do sell to the public but none of the flowers are priced so they will charge you want they want and if they think you don't know what you are doing they will charge you top whack!

I might be able to point you in the right direction. Where are you based? Have either of you done flowers before?

Can anybody point me in the right direction? I'm about to do the same as daylily and now am anxious that they might charge me what they like as I really don't know what I'm doing. can anybody give me any advice as to how to go about this?
