we are in the early stages of wedding planning and are thinking of doing it on a beach in hawiaii. just me dp and dd. we wouldn't mind somehow having music aswell but definatley want a relaxed atmosphere on the beach and lovley photos.
Any ideas how you go about planning this and anybody got any good bad wedding stories from abroad?

Before you go any further - are you going to start a family war if you do this?

It is a lovely idea, but I know someone whose mother didn't speak to her for 2 years after they got married in Vegas.

DH's colleague did this recently and we were not at all jealous of his photos

Well people will proberbly want to come but i really don't want everyone looking at me etc i don't feel comfortable with that (plus the cost). Would rather have an intimate affair. They will just have to get over it.

OP....I got married abroad & we had a wonderful travel agent who helped us. We required visas & to be resident within the country for a few days prior to the wedding...it would be worth checking all this a every country is different. Smile

We're getting married in Cyprus in August, we've arranged it all through a wedding planner out there who is organising all of it for us - it's been really simple and easy, I'm sure there must be wedding planners who specialise in Hawaii weddings too

As for causing a family war.... a wedding to me is about the people getting married, not just the day, I'd have happily done it just us home or abroad but we compromised with a wedding abroad so we could easily invite just the people we wanted to, I know some families take these things differently but not all :)

Did it in USA with wedding planner.

Easiest wedding ever.

We got married in Antigua at Sandals, it was perfect (and very easy) Smile
