My cousin had this at her wedding and it went down really well with the guests - most are still talking about what a fabulous idea it was 2 years later.

Toobluntforboss · 11/11/2011 21:53

Think it's a great idea also - good luck.

Yes, think it's a great idea - as long as you get really top quality staff. Leaving your kids with a stranger for a 'one off' can be a bit worrying, so first impressions is going to be key iykwim?

Good luck Smile

I'd definitely use this if it was within my budget.

Agree totally with comments on staff and budget.

Thanks ladies, that really helpful. I've been a qualified nursery nurse and nanny for over 12 years so really want it be top notch for the kids and parents!!

Also one last question if you don't mind, how much would you pay?
and also would you want a creche just for the aft/dinner or would u use until the end of the wedding? Thanks so much x

At my cousin's wedding the creche started when the adults had their sit down meal. The children had a buffet with burgers, hot dogs, chips, etc. They then had story time and games, then they all bunked down on the floor in sleeping bags or some of them came and joined in with the dancing. The creche was in a room two away from the main party room and the children seemed to prefer staying in the creche anyway.

I'm not sure what my cousin paid, she didn't ask for contributions from the parents, but I think I would probably happily pay around £40 - £50 per child for an afternoon/evening creche if asked.
