Was my enterance music (humanist ceremony). Dad was mortified, but it's just us!!!
thumbwitch · 28/03/2011 15:56

Orm - we had Enya's Far and Away (registry office) for our exit music - definitely gallopy! Combined DH's Irish heritage with the fact that we would be moving far away to Australia. Amused me, anyway. Grin

Haha brilliant. My dp would love that x

I had 'You're so cool' it was the theme tune to the film 'True Romance'

We wanted something a bit different. :) I think Hans Zimmer wrote it.

WinlessChunder · 28/03/2011 15:59

We had the theme tune from 'A Princess Bride' played on a single classical guitar. It was lovely.

LizaTarbucksAuntie · 28/03/2011 16:00

we're having Seth Lakeman's

for our signing the register music, tis gorgeous and might be nice to walk into?

but we're having pachbels for me to come into - my Dad's single request for the wedding

lucychoobs · 28/03/2011 16:00

Well i thought it might be a bit sad but when you listen to it its just so romantic. the bridesmaids would go out to the start of it and i would come down as the bagpipes kick in. its nice. this is so hard! he ain't too bothered but i just don't have a clue. all your suggestions are actually making it harder. they are all so lovely. x

oh ah, if it's not a church wedding then you might have to be a bit careful - they get a bit shirty if you try and use any music that is normally played in a church (well, my registry office did anyway - we had to submit our choice of music for prior scrutiny)
Think you should be all right for the Proclaimer's though!

thumbwitch · 28/03/2011 16:03

Proclaimers - no idea where that flippin apostrophe came from Blush

lucychoobs · 28/03/2011 16:03

Proclaimers haha. that's My all time favorite but i fear i may stop halfway down the aisle to do the dance lol x

I had :)

LisMcA · 28/03/2011 16:06

For our humanist ceremony we could use anything with religious conotations, so no Hymns etc. But as most music used in churches are just classical pieces we could have used any of them. I did think Highland Cathedral might be out but our Celebrant said it was ok.

Please pick the Proclaimers!! Pretty please!!

LisMcA · 28/03/2011 16:07

That should be we couldn't use

lottiejenkins · 28/03/2011 16:08

I went down the aisle to Queen of Sheba and back up the aisle to

lucychoobs · 28/03/2011 16:10

I will be happy with my second choice for you! I've got a much better version that the one i linked to on You Tube though. Will check the iPod and post who it's by.

lucychoobs · 28/03/2011 16:25

Thanks lisa. 2013 its shut next year for a refurb. gutted. but more time to get things perfect. its so lovely. pretty much decided straight away when we seen it. its unfortunate we have to Wait bit longer but will be worth it. got such a wide spread family so the fact we can put all our guests Up for two nights all in the same place was a winner for Me x
