Need to work up enthusiasm for DBs wedding

I really want to see my DSis get married and I will go BUT it's abroad and on a Monday. My DCs can't got to the Church (fair enough) and if they were to come DH wouldn't really be able to go to anything except the afternoon part of the reception + would have to take time off work + cost etc. So he is staying here, I've never left my DCs before (3 and 1) and I really, really don't want too.

I'm finding it hard to get excited as I am feeling quite panic-y about leaving my babies (silly, I know) and I also think it's a bit off that the wedding is on a Monday - saves them money but a PITA for everyone else, it's going to cost me about as much as taking the DCs on hols!

Maybe try and think about as a nice rest just for you as well as your DB's wedding. Is there anything else to do where you're going, such as a museum or gallery or beach, that you could go and visit?

It's not silly to feel a bit panicky about leaving your babies but they will have a lovely time with their dad. When my DP is away I get to have the kids all to myself - sofa snuggling, movie watching, hot chocolate drinking heaven. Grin
