Best & worst marriage proposals....

Just for a bit of fun! I want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly.

When my dh proposed to me, he blindfolded me, lead me to the edge of a cliff and had his accomplice (best friend) dig out "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" out of sand...to be then filled with petrol soaked rags and set alight.

I was sat there for ages, blindfolded in the cold, at 10.30 pm.

Needless to say the rags kept going out, but for the one second they were lit, it was wonderful :O

I've heard worse and better, so fill me in !

Third time lucky for me too, like LeQueen.

DP proposed for the first time at a safari resort in Botswana. But we'd only been together for 3 months so I just said 'Probably'.

The second time was in Hong Kong, in the middle of Rugby Sevens week. I said yes, but we were both drunk and it was very late plus and he was in the early stages of a stress-related breakdown, so we ended up having a massive row the next day and it didn't look like we were staying together, let alone married.

Fast forward nearly two years, and he proposed again after present-opening last Christmas Day. He just sort of wandered in with this little box, and said 'Oh there was this one other present I'd forgotten'. I thought it must be some earrings or something, then nearly fell over backwards. I cried, and said yes, and we opened a bottle of fizz and rang our families.
