OK, so three weeks to go and remainging budget of about 50p...

We have a venue with lots of smaller rooms, so any little ideas? I don't want people rushing about madly to be here there and everywhere, but a few little things would be good- maybe a photo booth type thing? It is in a theatre so I'm sure we could rustle up scenery.

OK, maybe the remaining budget isn't 50p, more like £50. We already have outfits, venue, legal fees, band, PA and a buffet. Oh and I went mad on ebay and bought 350 wooden roses.

Here is our website

Anyone want to help me with last minute touches?

you could have a look on cox and cox

they do some quite fun retro games and party bits. For example, they do sets of retro cardboard masks which your guests might have fun dressing up in? Silly hats also go down a treat if you have any lying about. Would go well with the theatre venue.

bunting and streamers? party poppers? indoor sparklers? (check with the venue first obviously)

photo booth = fun but expensive (£200+ I think).

to be honest though I think music, nibbles and somewhere to sit are all most guests need.

Photo booth I was thinking more of a designated bit of scenery and a disposable camera, tbh

Ah yes! like those things at the seaside where you stick your head at the top of the stripy bathing suit. excellent idea. esp with some silly hats/masks/moustaches or whatever to dress up in.

do you have a friend with a video camera? Could set it up in room with scenery and then people can go in and record messages etc? Would probably go well with random dressing up box!

PotteringAlong · 04/08/2010 16:59

or get a huge roll of paper (end of wallpaper or the like) and put it out with crayons / pens / stickers etc - all from poundland so quite cheap and put them out and people can make a big wedding collage?

You could do something like a wishing tree/message tree?

basically a bunch of silver sprayed twigs and some luggage labels (or you can get posh pretty ones if you want) for people to write messages on and hang up.

bit like a guest book but less formal and doesn't matter so much if only 4 people do it!

I have a three year old wedding planner as well. She is currently handcrafting some decorations, using a doily and some glitter...

:D

My house is covered in sequins...DD1 is insisting that we can't make decorations with only two hearts on because her and DD2 need hearts too.

Suppose she has a point.

Can I ask why you have Lego duplo and plan toys on your wedding list?

MovingBeds · 05/08/2010 15:41

ledodgy, you should ask Lisa!

You asked:
why have you got duplo on your wedding list?
Lisa says:
I'm not really one for commitment ? except to National Rail Enquiries, of course!

good luck on the big day butter
