PLease feel free to bellyache on this thread.

I've just put on a second jumper. Considering lighting the fire.

And my seedlings are in a sorry state.

Harrumph.

strandedatsea · 12/05/2010 19:30

I am absolutely boiling, sweating buckets and about to go and jump in a pool.

But then I do live in the Caribbean.

And before you tell me how lucky I am, trying to run around after two small children in 30 plus degree heat plus 90 degree humidity all the time really isn't much fun either!

(sorry that probably hasn't helped!)

ShowOfHands · 12/05/2010 19:33

Oh I don't like hot weather. Nope. Anything above 20 is too much for me.

But, my courgette plants are dying and dd could only go out on her birthday in a hat and a scarf. Tad ridiculous in May.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/05/2010 19:35

Stranded

The heating has been on today and our seedlings are still sitting on our window cills as I haven't dared plant them out yet.

It is ridiculous.

seb1 · 12/05/2010 19:38

I blame Dave and Nick

catinthehat2 · 12/05/2010 19:54

One of my fingers has gone yellow because I have lost the circulation. THe cats have put themselves to bed to keep warm.

What is the world coming to?

I wish to put in an official complaint. I have 15 chilblains on one hand.

Meglet · 13/05/2010 17:21

My plants are looking crap too. The hanging baskets aren't even growing.

Heating on, thick socks on, fed up.

I don't function until the temperature gets to 25 degrees. I live for the summer months.

seb1 · 13/05/2010 17:59

Where oh where is summer

Frizbe · 13/05/2010 18:01

My sunflowers got off to an early start, but have died a death, damn warm Aprils
It's supposed to get warmer here on in...isn't it kitten?

Marne · 13/05/2010 18:05

oh i hope it gets warmer soon, we are off to Cornwall on sunday, we booked our holiday later this year as we thought the weather would be warmer, last year we went in April and it was so much warmer then it is now . I have my wooly slippers on and my fleece and the fan heater blowing.

catinthehat2 · 13/05/2010 18:16

I am sitting here clutching a hot water bottle and wearing a dressing gown over everything.

IS THERE NO HOPE OYBBK???????????

don't lose hope, there is hope - next week looks much improved.

petunia · 13/05/2010 20:16

We've still got the heating on as well; I think I turned it up last night as well!
My bedding plants and hanging baskets have been in an unheated greenhouse which gets quite warm when the sun's been on it, so they've done quite well. But I think they're ready to sprout legs because they're ready to be put outside. But we're still having frosts; I think we had frost on the grass this morning (it sure looked like frost as opposed to dew.) This is just not good enough for the middle of May; I demand a nice summer!

mowcop · 13/05/2010 20:23

Every time I moan about being cold and the rubbish weather my MIL says something like "don't cast a clout till May is out." My reply is always "err hmm!" TBH I don't really know what she's on about.

It is really cold though, I packed my winter stuff away in April and had to dig some out again on Tuesday.

Meglet · 13/05/2010 21:22

I am warming up with wine

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/05/2010 21:22

I think that n'er cast a clout til May is out is more to do with Hawthorn (May) is flowering.
