I emailed that to my parents in NZ yesterday - they said it had been in all the papers over there, along with lots of reports of the bad weather. My mum is very concerned that I'm not keeping warm enough, bless her!

whilst it is a beautifull shot, i am not too thrilled about the hige snow clouds right above where i live
