I am!!

Though to be fair i live in a small city so unaffected by power cuts, food supplies getting low etc. I also cycle to work so unaffected by the traic problems...have just swapped the boy's bike trailer for a sledge this week.

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 08/01/2010 20:44

Loving it. Only had it since Wednesday though. Kids are loving it too. Hope we get more.

southeastastra · 08/01/2010 20:44

yes had fun whacking the ice trying to clear a path, but i do enjoy weird activities

thisisyesterday · 08/01/2010 20:45

i am loving it too!!!

Had lots of it since 17th December and amazingly not really fed up yet. It is a bit of a pain digging out the coal bunker and logs for the fire. And sorting out all the wet kit not to mention the wet floors.

But it is just so beautiful and we are lucky to live fairly near ski resorts so have been taking to kids skiing a bit. Also sledging is good fun and there is a half completed igloo in our garden to be finished!

I love it , we havn't had much (just a cm or 2 in wed) so we could do with some more.

noddyholder · 10/01/2010 10:13

I love it too!

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 10/01/2010 10:14

It has been a blessing for my children as we were all stuck in over the the school holiday due to them having chicken pox. It was miserable. It has been nice that they have had a week now they are better to play out in the snow etc.

BertieBotts · 10/01/2010 10:15

It's not really affecting my life as I don't drive so yes - it's beautiful and makes a change when I look out of my window

MitchyInge · 10/01/2010 10:21

hmm, yes and no

think there is something slightly sinister about the way it just keeps falling, as if it is leading us ultimately and inexorably to the next Ice Age or something?

working outside, even for just a few hours a day, in those temperatures has definitely left me extra wiped out this weekend!

on other hand it is beautiful and exciting to drive in

FlightAttendant · 10/01/2010 10:25

I adore it, agree slightly about the sinister though Mitch

The only thing I am NOT liking is other people's attitudes and unreasonable demands...ie School being open and insisting we keep going there when there is obviously no way any work is being done, and it is dangerous

and my parents insisting they need to see the kids this morning but not warning me that their entire street is a blardy ice rink

Apart from that, great. Though I can see the tops of the spring bulbs poking through, and that always makes me want it to melt!

PestoSkiMonster · 10/01/2010 10:26

Yes, we are loving it too. No school, DH working from home and handy slopes nearby for winter sports

The only one not very impressed with the vast quantities of the white stuff is the Pesto cat. She is crossing her legs rather than braving her cat flap

thehairybabysmum · 11/01/2010 12:15

of those of you who live near to ski resorts. We are in York so quicker to get to Europe than Scotland unfortunately! My new snowboard bindings will have to stay in the box a bit longer!

We had a fab weekend sledging and building snowmen but have got up today after a night of drizzle and its all disappearing....Booooo!

Yep, although kids back now. I love snow.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 11/01/2010 12:18

Yes! I want more more more - we are in N London - had loads last night but it is thawing fast.

Lizzylou · 11/01/2010 12:22

I loved it when we had our first snow 3 1/2 weeks ago, was fab when we didn't have to get to school/work etc.
Am heartily fed up of snow now, has been a white world here for long enough.

OrmIrian · 11/01/2010 12:26

Me! I love it. We haven't had much though.
