i just went out for a fag, expecting to see clear skies and for it to be bloody freezing, and its snowing! only lightly but wasnt expecting that

How much did you get in the end? some prolonged light snow for you tonight probably.

It got insanely cold here last night and we have woken up to a very heavy snowfall plus it is snowing right now. (Perthshire hills)

here in liverpool snowed lightly and i was expecting it as said on the telly and metcheck website....it be like this forever!!

Are we going to get any snow in SW?

We had a tiny bit yesterday, i want more so i can build a snowman, we only had a tiny bit wed morning but if i drive up the road 2 miles there is twice as much . It always seems to miss us .

I'm in Devon and they are predicting light snow from tonight on for a few days. Would prefer heavy snow but you can't have everything!

light snow is better than no snow , although i would rather have a foot of snow so i don't have to bother getting up on monday to get the dd's ready for school. I hate having to wait to see if schools are open etc..

We ahd aflurry of about an hour over Cwmbran when shopping but clear skies here now, v v cold though and still have a significant amount from before, indeed the roads are enough to make our mitsubishi skid (caerleon).

Peachy - was funny yesterday when I got bread, there was loads, but no flour. Heard someone say at the checkouts, that she forgot to get some bread mix but they would be ok for a bit as she had 3 large bags in.

I have lots of flour but no inclination to use it atm. would rather eat emergency quality street

i bought 3 small packs of bread mix, and two tubs of dried milk today. this gives me 30 bread rolls and 10 pints of milk in case of an emergency

Well, seeing as Dennis did not show up...(is he with you GreenMonkie? ) I've looked at Weather.co.uk and they are saying more snow here until the 19th

Somebody in another part of Scotland was boasting about it being 4 degrees - and we want tropical temperatures here too.

Sorry GentleOtter, he's not here, I'm still waiting, and the roads around here are fine now, so I don't know what's taking him so long.......
