Beautiful breeze here too down on the waterfront in Gosport got all the windows open and absolutely lovely when the breeze blows in.

South Wales and breezy here. Quite welcome when I was sat in the garden this afternoon.

Yes, I recently read that it's unusual to have a decent breeze when we have hot weather. I can't remember where I read it though.

It makes a big difference (although I'm still finding it unbearable, it would be that much worse without the breeze).

I thought this earlier that it was quite breezy as the curtains were billowing and then I remembered the part in ‘children of the dust ‘ where Sarah was holding the curtain and ‘heat screamed through the crack’ !!!

We need an expert to explain why it happens .
Well I do

Gorgeous breeze, almost wind, in the midlands. It’s delightful

There's a low coming in so the hot air is being displaced and that causes the very welcome breeze (something like that anyway) <not very scientific>

I think it is because of the position of the high pressure "heat dome" that the press have been talking about. It isn't directly over us but over Europe causing a flow of hot air from the south east over Britain.

Thank you @EducatingArti and @ShrimpBoil
