Worried about big trees and strong winds

We live very close to some tall trees and with this storm I'm feeling very worried. I've just checked the forecast and the maximum gusts here will be 60mph.

I know there isn't much I can do and if a tree was to fall, then that would be it really.

Anyone know how likely it would be for a tree to fall at 60mph?
The tree will be getting hit quite strongly too as there is fields by it.

Depends on the health and type of tree. Luckily all the leaves are gone so less wind resistant

It happens but they will have survived many winds just as strong.

I’m worried about a tall conifer in the garden. Makes me so anxious every storm.

I'd get a tree surgeon to check it over.

No money sadly. I’d get it felled if we did.

What made Arwen so disastrous for trees was the fact the wind was strong on an unusual direction - tress develop strong root support to counteract the strong winds they normally feel
