Can I put my winter clothes in the loft yet? It's nearly May!

Freezing but when will it warm up? I need to manage my wardrobe!

Nope. It snowed yesterday.

TabbyM · 26/04/2024 11:29

My blossom though (hawthorn) rather than the month

Nope I reorganized my shoes yesterday, the boots are staying for now.

I've actually bought a couple of new jumpers in the last month, which I've never done before 🥹

DPotter · 28/04/2024 19:46

You must be joking!
At one point today I was wearing 6 layers of clothing in an attempt to keep warm. Thermal vest, thermal t-shirt, corduroy dress, thick woolly jumper, thick fleece gilet, fluffy gilet, a woolly hat and woolly socks. I was still cold and my thyroid is just fine.

Nae cast a clout 'til May is not and all that!

Unless of course you live somewhere other than the British Isles!

Yesterday I thought I had enough layers (3) but was cold all day. I even turned the radiator back in after 3 weeks of toughing it out!

Today, I had started with a thin jumper under a thin cardigan (literally twin set - the stereotype of being an older woman!), and my anorak as it's not due to rain, and it is quite warm so I've dropped to just the jumper.

I can't get it right!

Oblomov24 · 29/04/2024 11:53

I've had enough of it, it's really miserable.

CosmosQueen · 29/04/2024 12:21

It’s been out for two weeks here. The wind is really cold today, it’s 8° here but feels like 2° (south Glos, on a hillside). I had hat, gloves, scarf and a thick coat on to walk the dog earlier.
At least the washing is drying, but it looks like we’re getting rain as black clouds are looming 🙄☹️

Orangiople · 29/04/2024 12:25

Yesterday was winter, today finally feels like spring! 16 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, looks to be warming up as the week goes on too.

I'm not swapping my wardrobe over yet. I've just been outside to peg the washing out and my hands are freezing now. I was wearing a fleece so my body was warm but it's definitely not Summer clothes weather here yet (Midlands)

justasking111 · 29/04/2024 14:07

I'm about to put my fleecy dressing gown on over my clothes. It's nissing down and windy, so cold.
