I've been taken a bit by surprise by this one!

As a deep low pressure develops across Europe, parts of East Anglia look to be in the firing line for a small chance of some torrential rain as well as some damaging winds.

Only just seen this! It was pretty heavy here for a couple of hours, but has stopped now. At least the garden got a good soaking.

No wind yet, but weather app showing it for tomorrow. Hoping no problems given the good soaking the ground has just had.

Lowestoft recorded 53mm of rain yesterday, which is not far off the expected amount for July. No reported incidents in the news that I can find.

big disruption in the netherlands. especially the coast near haarlem.

no trains and many motorways closed.
schiphol airport closed until late afternoon as well.

I'm not surprised GreenAcrylic it turned out to be very severe for a July storm. I believe that some of the gusts were 90mph.
