Anyone in Buxton - what's the weather like there today?

I need to drive there later today. Are all the roads from Manchester still open?

You need to check out Buxton Weather Watch on Facebook. I'm just down the road near Whaley Bridge and the roads are clear. Even at its worst, I understand the dual carriageway was driveable to Doveholes.

Oh and there are temporary traffic lights in the centre of Disley at the moment. They may well be gone later, but check in case you need to avoid. Traffic was awful a couple of hours ago.

I’m in Buxton - loads of snow about but most of the main roads now open and running fine. Presuming you’re coming in via the A6 and not long hill you’ll be fine. There is more snow forecast though I think, starting around 3ish.

That's a very good point - I'd forgotten about the forecast. Definitely stick to the A6 though. There have been snow drifts and fallen trees on the tops and Long Hill and Macclesfield Road were closed by the snow.

Yeah, the forecast is worrying me as need to drive back later evening.
