Summer heatwave on the way?

That's what I read on the times. Is it true? I wonder how long it will stick around and how hot it will get in SE England.

Depends if that heat vortex thing over North America makes it across the Atlantic? Would that cause a heatwave? Or would it just pick up loads of water & drop rain on all of Europe for a month or so?

So we seem to have a bit of a heatwave going on this week. The metoffice have issued weather warnings for thunderstorms and an amber one for 'extreme heat' (not seen that one before.)

Few more days of these temperatures then looks like a thundery breakdown at the weekend.

it was hell. the flat got up to 31.5 degrees and only fell to 27 overnights, with all the safe windows open.

It was most uncomfortable last week, wasn't it Blackeyed.
