Yikes.

Wednesday looks potentially a bit rough. Certainly the potential for a lot of rain along with high winds. The met office already have warnings out for the Yorkshire area and the SW

Photo is a plot of different potential tracks for the storm.

One to watch for sure.

I forgot to clarify, it will be remnants when it hits us, not a fully formed TS!

GFS models it as hitting the SW during Tuesday before it slowly moves across the UK Tuesday/Wednesday filling as it goes.
I don't think winds will be too bad, the potential issues really centre around flooding.

Updated warnings, shift the focus of the rain some in the north and expand it further in the SW.

Sorry to be thick, but I just wondered if there was any significance to the colours of the lines in the first picture?? Thanks

Mizydoscape · 25/11/2019 11:03

@zen1 the different colour lines are the potential tracks the storm could take as determined by various different forecasting models.

Shesalittlemadam · 25/11/2019 11:10

Well, if follows the purple track then my loose guttering is screwed 🤷🏼‍♀️

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/11/2019 11:13

I think current indications are still that this is likely to be more a flooding event than a severe wind event. It's really just a normal winter low with extra moisture added in from the ex-tropical storm remnants.

Thank you Mizy . I am based along the pink trajectory, so that’s helpful🙂

Shesalittlemadam · 25/11/2019 11:20

Just thought I'd post these RED WARNINGS as they are the highest warning and require residents of these areas to 'Take Immediate Action'

I think so? Might be worth googling the place names? Some of them I recognise as South Yorks, such as Humber

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/11/2019 22:18

MN timing out is driving me bonkers tonight.

Anyway, it looks like the south coast could see some pretty lively weather tomorrow in terms of squalls, thunder and hail.

It's really rough here in the channel islands

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/11/2019 21:26

Is it the first storm of the season for you?

I’m tucked up in East Anglia, no storms here but the sky has looked ferocious all day - proper angry looking purple clouds. The storm explains that! I hope everyone has managed to stay safe and dry.
