Saw this on the 1pm news - Amber Warning on the Isle of Man.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 01/10/2019 20:08

That looks quite nasty.

I have low standards but even I don't think my laundry can go out today and hope it's dry by Monday morning. There doesn't seem to be break in the rain at all. (Hampshire).

I'm sick of stubbing my toes on the airer.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/10/2019 09:28

It's grim where I am too. I can't bring myself to go out for a run.
I did get two loads dry outside on wednesday. I'm very proud of that!

@OhYouBadBadKitten How nasty does Kent look this evening? Do I need to strap stuff down outside?

Emmabryant123 · 14/10/2019 16:20

Shit. I use a CPAP machine to sleep and worried about a power cut tonight

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/10/2019 17:06

oh!
I'm so sorry! I hadn't spotted that things were winding themselves up a bit. I just saw the amber alert for thunderstorms. hang on..l.

yikes! I'm just about to go into a meeting!!!

ok, so it looks to mostly affect Kent, but SE into EA is at risk in general - flash flooding, lightning and some small sized hail are the primary risks.

Elsewhere, potentially 60mm of rain. I'm so sorry, I've run out of time til this evening. Took my eye off the ball.

Will it stop? Beginning to get trench foot.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/10/2019 23:27

even on days it's not in the models it rains.

Usually just as you’ve left the house...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/10/2019 17:47

It's getting ridiculous. I'm retiring. Going to take up scuba diving instead.

It's Monday. I'm at my gardening job and it's raining again - like every Monday for the past 5+ weeks.

On the plus side the lavender has dried so may spend the next hour making lavender bags.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/10/2019 14:02

Amber warnings out for abysmal levels of rainfall (as well as gales).
Up to 120mm in some spots will lead to flooding.

Looks like it may get a bit wet over the next few days. I was planning on going to Chessington World of Adventures tomorrow but not looking very dry Sat afternoon. Now looking at Thursday and that looks a better day, whilst Friday looks wet.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/10/2019 08:29

It does look like it's going to settle down after this weekend, which will be a relief.

nannynick · 26/10/2019 10:16

Cancelled work today, rebooked for Wednesday. Theme parks on wet day's is no fun.

The severe flooding in parts of the north have their own separate thread.
In the mean time. Two yellow warnings for rain, in the south ofEngland and Northern Ireland.
