Is there a way to find out how strong the wind was in a particular place on a particular date?

Goggling hasn't given me answers

We were camping on Friday and i'd be really interested to know just who windy it was - it seemed very windy indeed

Timeanddate.com gives the last 2 weeks including wind speed.

Thanks Bitchy that says it was 20 which doesn’t sound all that. It certainly felt like a hurricane at 2am when the tent was lifting into the air

Good to know for future trips, I’d never paid any attention to wind speed previously
