Storm system Friday 6/12

It looks pretty stormy (weather, lets not go into politics!) on Friday in Northern Ireland and central Scotland on Friday perhaps being the worst hit areas.This is not Etienne by the way- ignore the broken press! It could be pretty potent with gusts to 80mph. It rattles through fairly quickly, so hopefully most of the worst of it should be done by nightfall (though watch this space for changes)

I wouldn't be surprised if the warnings become amber when the path is nailed down more.

stormy, but not extreme. Wet in the south, widespread gusts in Scotland to 60mph, some parts will see perhaps 80mph. The more north and west you are, the worse.

Five minutes ago it looked like the world was going to end, I couldn't see out of my West-facing office window for all the water running down, and now there is a patch of blue sky.
