Wind and rain warnings for mostly England and Wales tomorrow and then snow for some areas of Scotland on Thursday.

After a mildish midweek, it still looks like it'll be getting colder from the weekend onwards, with plenty of overnight frosts.

It’s pretty windy down here, I’ve opened the bedroom window so I can listen while all cosy.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/11/2017 22:28

oh. I’m shutting it again. It’s a bit too wild!

Wish it would snow

It’s badly flooded her in Lancashire, almost exactly 2 years after the last big flood. Some businesses are only just back up and running ☹️

Flooding in North West Wales, rain has been constant since yesterday evening.Lots of main roads impassable. We're used to a lot of rain but today has been atrocious.

Cumbria flooding getting too regular. South Cumbria cut off again (last time only October), with no trains, no access to M6, All A roads closed, B roads not great at the best of times.

bbc news on flooding

Wetoopere · 23/11/2017 07:39

Cumbria has just as much flooding as Lancaster and is barely getting a mention. We are still cut off this morning but no official sources mentioning main road closures. Angry

@Wetoopere is it starting to clear yet? Thanks

DH got to his hotel last night (I have no idea where - somewhere in the Midlands I think?) ok, slight delay but ok. His colleague though was travelling from Manchester to Edinburgh, I think he said, and there were cancellations so he got stuck at a change miles from anywhere.

In Dublin, DD was woken by wind and came down from the attic at about 6am for the last hour (and 45 mins Blush) of sleep. It was wet this morning, but not heavy rain. Windy though, and temp was 7 degrees but significant wind chill (coming from NW). It's now bright and sunny, still very breezy, and while lots of blue skies, there are still clouds coming from N (so coming towards me as wind has shifted - there's a flag outside my window to calibrate by).
