DH got to his hotel last night (I have no idea where - somewhere in the Midlands I think?) ok, slight delay but ok. His colleague though was travelling from Manchester to Edinburgh, I think he said, and there were cancellations so he got stuck at a change miles from anywhere.
In Dublin, DD was woken by wind and came down from the attic at about 6am for the last hour (and 45 mins 
) of sleep. It was wet this morning, but not heavy rain. Windy though, and temp was 7 degrees but significant wind chill (coming from NW). It's now bright and sunny, still very breezy, and while lots of blue skies, there are still clouds coming from N (so coming towards me as wind has shifted - there's a flag outside my window to calibrate by).
