I need to know where in the UK will have the least bad weather from 9th August

This summer holiday i get a grand total of 4 days off work to enjoy with my children - Weds 9th through to Saturday 12th.

We're skint, we were going to go camping. I'm not a fan but it's a way to have a few days away. I'm just not sure i can do 4 days in a wet field.

We have car - can travel, where in the UK (though preferably not far north or Scotland as i don't want to spend 2 of the precious 4 days travelling)

Will anywhere not be crap weatherwise?

Where will you be travelling from? The forecast for south of England looks ok for those days. There's a lovely campsite at Eype in Dorset right by the sea www.eypehouse.co.uk/

Im in south Cumbria.

The weather has been fine, despite being forecasts floods and plauges of locusts daily the most we've had is a little rain in the morning or overnight.

Channel islands? Furthest south

Haint · 04/08/2017 20:50

THanks all. I think the channel islands be would be too expensive

I can hack a biy of rain, it's not been too bad here. I just want to follow the sun and really make the most of the short time we've got

I thought in Durham is technically the driest county so why not head over the Pennines and towards the east coast? But obviously check a reliable forecast first as strange things do happen!
