We had a queen wasp in our Christmas decorations! Scared the bejeesus out of me and the kids!

Last time I'm keeping them (the decs not the kids) in the shed that's for sure!

I squished a huge wasp against the window during the week. My daffodils are starting to peep out, but we they were full blown the week before Christmas last year. 14 degrees today, but it was -2 one night last week. Pretty sure Trump is right and climate change is a myth.

I got stung by a wasp on Christmas day about four years ago. And I've had at least a couple of years in the last six years (as long as I've been in this house) that some of the daffodils bloomed before New Year's day. I don't think they will bloom early this year though as we have had quite a cold snap last week, although it was 18C on Wednesday and warm yesterday and today, so maybe they will.
