Hi there Kitten and Gloria don't suppose there is any chance of some dry, sunny weather for Manchester this BH weekend? Would love all the family round but don't want to plan too much in case it's a washout!! Hmm Thank you Flowers

here

Just started raining here but nothing in the way of thunder/lightning yet. The line of storms/rain looks impressive here.

GloriaSmud · 27/08/2016 14:26

Just heard a few little rumbles.

Baeb · 27/08/2016 15:59

We've had a good hour of lightning and thunder now (Midlands). Skies just went dark out of nowhere. Rocked the house! Confused

GloriaSmud · 27/08/2016 16:05

Almost constant rumbles here, odd flash of lightning, very dark and lots of rain. We've had to put the lights on!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/08/2016 16:10

muggy and dull, but all the action is to the north of us.

Baeb · 27/08/2016 16:12

Getting a bit brighter here now so must be lifting.

I always wonder how it must have felt hundreds of years ago when there was no real protection from the elements, and no weather predictions either. Must have been terrifying!

Part of me would love to see a real life tornado. (The grown-up part, not so much!)

GloriaSmud · 27/08/2016 16:40

Really dark with lots of lightning, thunder and heavy rain.
We're 2-3 miles from Leicester's football ground and I'm Shock that they haven't suspended play.

Hi can I jump in and ask about the weather tomorrow? In Islington. Getting mixed reports that possible rain in the am, others in the pm..
I have loads of cat treats that I can wrestle from my kitties. They won't mind. They don't want rain as they don't like people..

CafeCremeEtCroissant · 27/08/2016 20:47

Thank you both.

Visitors just left. Shattered. Not sure whether to go to France (tomorrow/Monday) or just stay here?!

How dismal is it going to be in the 'central south east'?

CafeCremeEtCroissant · 27/08/2016 20:49

Obviously if I could just click my fingers & be there I'd choose the South of France, but I need to sort flights, transport at the other end, accommodation etc...all the usual crap. So, so tired 😴

GloriaSmud · 28/08/2016 08:09

bloodyteenagers showers possible but if there are any, more this afternoon.

cafe really not dismal at all. Perhaps the odd shower during the week but mostly lots of sunshine and temperatures ranging from 22-24C. At the moment, it's looking like it will cool down next weekend.

bloodyteenagers · 28/08/2016 08:19

Thanks for the info
