The heatwave has calmed down (pah) but the forecast looks acceptable. Over 20 degrees anyway and a mixture of sun and rain. We don't appear to be stuck under a blanket of cold cloud.

Did the jet stream move and is the short term forecast looking ok?

it looks like its going to slip back over southern england tomorrow :(

We've got rain forecast for tomorrow and Thursday and the temperature's are not looking great for the next few days. Hope the nice weather we had last week wasn't our summer for the year!

My kids broke up from school today so yes, it will be shit from now on

oybbk I noticed that forecast yesterday evening . Typical isn't it.

The BBC chap did suggest that maybe we will get some warm southerly air next week. We shall see.

it's possible that we may draw up some very warm air again I think.

When? End of next week?

I really hope so - I love summer. Grin

How's the outlook for August, OYBBK? Any more sun heading our way?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 01/08/2016 19:49

Im limited to my phone at the moment which means I can't look at the models. As soon as I'm back on my pc in a few days I'll come back to you.

GloriaSmud · 08/08/2016 22:02

'Tis looking rather good for next week, with temperatures heading towards the upper 20's/low 30'sC. I've bought more suncream in readiness (that's guaranteed to put a stop to any hot weather arriving!)

PacificDogwod · 08/08/2016 22:05

No summer here SadHmm

Apparently there were 140mph gales over the Cairngorms and where I am I am certain wind speeds were about 139mph - or so it felt!
If it was January I'd accept 12 degrees and branches coming off trees - but in Augst?!
Gimme some of your head wave, please

Hurrah! This weekend just past was gorgeous too, in East Anglia anyway. We played croquet in the blazing sun (sorry Pacific).
