What effect will el nino have on this summers weather?

So this mild winter was supposed to be because of el nino - does any one know what the likely impact of this will be on the summer?

Based on historic trends is it more likely to be a warmer one, or wetter?

I entirely missed this! el nino is on the wane now. It doesnt tend to influence summer as much as winter and even in the winter the influence is unpredictable - it can also lead to harsh winters! So I wouldnt use that to forecast your summer holiday.
