So we have will it snow/won't it snow this weekend now Grin

The answer is probably yes, in places. Perhaps some over Scottish mountains Thursday night, then Friday night it could cover further south into northern England and Welsh hills. Snow showers though, so some may escape any precipitation at all.

Saturday I think the greatest areas at risk are down the East coast through to Lincolnshire. Perhaps parts of Norfolk too. However, many areas could be at risk, so I guess, be prepared.

It is going to be bitingly cold with the met office going for sub zero 'feels like' temperatures in the middle of the day even in the south.

Snow forecasting is when it gets really difficult. Hard enough to predict exactly which areas will get a rain shower on a showery day, people tend to really notice when you get snow wrong! This is where I also remind people I'm purely an amateur and its best to take what I say with a huge pinch of salt as I do get things wrong!

InMySpareTime · 21/11/2015 08:56

Clear blue skies here. It's never going to snow, is it?

Bombaybunty · 21/11/2015 09:00

We've had about an hour of heavy snow. Stopped now, just cold and rainy.
We're near Epsom.

magimedi · 21/11/2015 09:12

Snowing hard here - just inland from Eastbourne, Sussex. Been going for about 15 mins, but is now turning to rain.

Snow can FUCK OFF!!

I hate snow. ( I may have said that before!)

SpottyTeacakes · 21/11/2015 09:14

LIZS I'm between petworth and Haslemere. It was dry when I got up and then started raining and hasn't stopped Sad

LIZS · 21/11/2015 09:20

Ah not so near then. Freezing rain and windy now.

eatyourveg · 21/11/2015 09:29

Snow! West Kent for about half an hour - now sleety rain - yuck!

Hulababy · 21/11/2015 09:30

Been snowing in Sheffield overnight. Didn't see any fall so stopped before 7. Pretty windy too.

Snow watch - November.
Calaisienne · 21/11/2015 09:50

East Kent - same as West Kent (waves) half hour of snow turned to rain about ten mins ago. Cold though - have now turned heating on for first time this year.Brew

atticusclaw2 · 21/11/2015 10:00

snow for us in Notts. It snowed at about 3am and we have a light covering everywhere. Enough to make snowballs so the DC are happy.

goinggrey1978 · 21/11/2015 10:08

no snow in Essex yet, just rain but very cold and windy too!!
its just about 5 c

LBOCS2 · 21/11/2015 10:37

We had snow on the Surrey/Kent borders for about an hour and a half between 7.30-9. Settled for a little bit on the roof and grass but gone now. DDog was extremely unimpressed when DH took him out for a walk!

BlackeyedSusan · 21/11/2015 10:59

we have snow........... w mids ok so it is only a few flakes on the grassand on the roof of the substation electric shed in the garden. it is still there in the shade but the ice and snow on the roof of the electric shed has melted.

I suggested we put the heating on for the first time this year.. he thinks we do not have enough money. I seem to have done a too good a job of convincing him to turn off the lights and save energy. hoping it lasts until he is a teenager!

peggyundercrackers · 21/11/2015 11:09

North east Scotland and we have no snow and no wind only sun :) meant to be sunny here all day and all tomorrow.
