Where will the decent weather be in August?

We're in S Hants and it has generally been pretty good this July, apart from Sunday obviously! We have 2 weeks off work and nothing booked in terms of holidays but if there is anywhere in the UK that's going to have decent weather from 10 August then I'd love to know so I can do something last minute.

I saw that article in the telegraph that suggests that the S East will potentially have a wave of sun in mid August but haven't seen anything more in depth than that.

Its too far in advance at the moment I'm afraid. Which is fortunate as GFS shows huge deluges for the entire UK 10th-13th which is when the model runs out.

I am interested in this as well, we are headed to Dorset on the 2nd for a fortnight but are camping so could potentially change if weather is due to be pants.
I have looking at GFS but I can't interpret it.

That long term forecast mentioned below sounds pretty impressively accurate given the rain warnings for the next two days!

does anyone know the current longer term forecast? ie; Is the summer coming back .

The weekend looks brighter and fresher. Next week it gets even better ~ Monday looks decent/dry enough (temps 14C Scotland, 21C south) Tuesday ~ rain comes in for the north and Scotland, dry in the South. After that summer returns properly, with temperatures for England from Wednesday, starting in the low 20s and then increasing as the week goes on, possibly reaching the high 20s by next Friday. Scotland has slightly lower temperatures, starting at 17C and possibly hitting 21C by next weekend.

So just today to get through then it looks like it gets loads better!

Schools went back yesterday in Glasgow and Renfrewshire and next week for East Dunbartonshire and Edinburgh. Weather guaranteed to improve

Edinburgh schools back today.....and it's sunny, over 20c and no wind. About the first time it's been like this since the start of the "summer" holidays at the end of June.
