Is this the hottest July for decades?

A few weeks ago did some weather forecast people say this is the hottest July?

Pissing down here.

I don't remember reading that. I do remember reading that globally we are heading towards record temps this year.

I was in Italy a couple of wks ago and my temp gauge in the car was reading for outside as 51 degrees!!! Thank god for air conditioning!!!!!

Haha ha ha. 11 degrees and pissing down at 2 o'clock this afternoon here. Still pissing down now.

The record temps will be the week the schools go back no doubt.

In Scotland and the weather has been shit here! We had 2 warm days end of June, beginning of July but I was in hospital having DC1.

I feel like putting the heating on. (Midlands)

After a sunny spell (just the one!) at 7.30pm ish, it's now raining again and dark here (Leicester.) It has though actually got warmer ~ after hovering around 13.5C most of the day, it's now 14.6C. I think (if I'm reading things right) some brighter/warmer stuff is forecast from Thursday onwards for the Midlands/Southern bits of England but still not looking that great/dry/warm for northern areas/Scotland.
I think we've been given November's weather by mistake

Still raining here. In fact I don't think it's stopped frm my last post. Although it's now foggy too. Heating on!

Er - no! Not in Yorkshire anyway. We had a few nice days earlier in the month but I am still wearing my coat every day.
