oybbk and gloria is there any sign of heat and blue skies in the near future?

I keep thinking the weather app on my phone is broken because all the symbols are cloud . slightly exaggerates but is really quite fed up now

Weather is flip/flopping about all over the place at the moment and from what I can tell, think it's going to carry on, with some fairly warm days followed by rain/cool ones.

It has indeed. The allotment could do with a blast of sun and heat. I doubt my tomatoes will do much at this rate.

Gloria is right. It's going to be a very archetypal British summer at least through into early July. Cool and showery interspersed with warmer drier weather.

I was saying to DH a few days ago that although we're complaining about the flip/flopping cold/wet/warm days, it is perfect growing weather for the allotment so everything's going great at the moment. Unfortunately, that also means the weeds as well!

Sports day yesterday we were all wrapped up in big coats, hats, scarves, gloves and blankets!! This is East Anglia, ffs.

Hmmm, looking at a few forecasts for next week and it looks like it may be warming up a tad? Now considering they keep getting the forecast wrong, even on the day, I'll believe it when it happens but even the conservative bbc forecast is saying it will warm up.

It's pleasant here (SE) but not super warm and there is an annoying wind still. Fingers crossed for next week.
