Especially in central and southern England where winds could reach 60mph tomorrow afternoon. Not a day for doing lovely outdoor things!

Oh wonderful - we're surrounded by trees as well and I've already been woken up by the noise of strong wind and rain at night! So far this evening, there isn't any sign of the wind, just lots of rain.

It's soooo windy here in Rossendale! It's howling really loudly. The trampoline has been blown over, despite being tied to a tree, snapping a branch off. DH has been out to check but there's not much more he can do tonight. I'm hoping it stays attached. The dogs are hiding under our bed...

Very windy here with some real hefty gusts that are making the caravan wobble! Did not like the sound of twiggy type sticks I heard falling on to the roof a few minutes ago!

I hope you are ok gloriasmud. I'm inside and it is so noisy. Would not like to be out in it.

Something is banging very ominously downstairs and I heard a tree go over about an hr ago.

Just waiting for it to get lighter and I'll go and assess the damage. DP (tree surgeon) is going to be busy today!

Was woken up about an hour ago. It sounds like it's getting worse.

I'm in Germany - very very windy here, sunday was windy with thunder and lots of rain....ditto Monday - please let it blow itself out soon!

We've only just been allowed back into the woods following a massive storm last Whitsun looks like they'll be closed again :( - and have been watching some of the loose branches that are stuck in the trees wondering if they're going to come down.

Amazingly the trampoline stayed in place and while it's still windy, it's nothing like last night. Haven't slept well thanks to the wind, and neither has ds1.

It was really windy last night, a Force 9 at times over here on the Isle of Man, all the boats are cancelled today and I've been watching some pf the planes coming into land with my heart in my mouth this morning! But we've also had brilliant sunshine, pouring rain, hail and fog. Very strange.
