about inch here in the last hour - along with thunder and lightning Hmm

DD is out in the garden making footprints doing the happy dance.

I am not happy! Hate snow. Sad

Wrongornot · 07/12/2014 17:20

Meant to say we are right between Edinburgh and Glasgow but village is 1000ft above sea level. we have a weather system of our very own

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 07/12/2014 17:22

I saw a car with snow this afternoon and we had a hail shower.

Hulababy · 07/12/2014 17:23

We've had sleet and hail, and some thicker wet white stuff - more than sleet, less than snow.
Far to wet to stick...

PotteringAlong · 07/12/2014 17:24

Definite snow in Durham today. Not masses, but enough for me to get excited Grin

PotteringAlong · 07/12/2014 17:41

Today as well!

We had a mini-blizzard earlier - waiting now for the 'heavy' stuff that is forecast. ds doesn't believe me that the bus might have a problem in the morning. He's a lad who has to see to believe. Smile It's cold too, despite several jumpers and my layers of adipose. Wink

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/12/2014 21:04

updated warnings bring the possibility of snow into even lowland areas of Wales and the midlands! It's a good idea to keep this bumped else some people are going to have a surprise in the morning.

The higher ground of SW moors may see a little sleety stuff later.

Nothing here :( DD and I are desperate for snow, not looking likely
In grimsby i dont think!

Perihelion · 07/12/2014 22:37

Met Office warning overview page is not working at the moment. Mind you I wish they'd re-design how they show the warnings

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/12/2014 23:17

It's not going to be hanging around in the areas in the south of the warning area, and I think most will escape, but it could be a bit messy for some in the morning.

So how has everyone fared this lovely monday morning?

3 degrees here feeling cold but no snow or frost, highs of five during the day predicted, and lows of -1 overnight! Love feeling proper winter weather.

leesmum · 08/12/2014 09:10

The massive hail shower that we had last night had frozen...the roads and pavements were treacherous Xmas Shock

educatingarti · 08/12/2014 09:14

Not been out but it seems wet rather than frozen here, though it could have been frozen before I gained full consciousness earlier

Perihelion · 08/12/2014 12:42

Lovely blue sky. 3C atm and icy under foot earlier. The Ochills are looking very snowy and pretty. Hardly any wind, but it was chilly.
