Rather a nasty looking storm up there for you with torrential rain (perhaps 150mm in places) and severe gales.

Kettle always on here! Still raining very, very heavily. The wind dropped a lot today and the rain is now obeying gravity rather than arriving horizontally, which is a comfort. Tomorrow is supposed to be better!

It's raining heavily right now but it is supposed to stop later in the day. Still quite windy.
The Oban Times FB page has a picture of a little stream which has burst its banks and flooded the back road into Oban. I have walked in that area often and barely noticed that stream before.

Yes, early afternoon things should improve dramatically.

It has stopped raining, hurrah! I was staring at the puddle on the carpark outside my office window for a bit just to make sure I really couldn't see any drops.
Rain back Thursday afternoon though. Could it not be at least dry for Halloween for once, sigh? That will be a very soggy cat and a very soggy vampire on Friday night.

The burn that runs through Oban has burst its banks.
One of my colleagues had her car there but got it out in time, some were not that lucky.

Forecast says mostly sunny today, but still a bit of a breeze so feels chilly. I've even got my washing out! (with minimum 6 pegs per item, as is standard up here )

Just seen Oban photos! And it's not as if rain is unusual there. Hope it drains away quickly.
