Some of the showers could be very heavy, perhaps with hail and thunder.

I can personally testify that some of the showers/thunderstorms are indeed torrential.

I have a slight soggy shoes issue going on - as in full of water. The rain was bouncing up as hard as it was coming down (well not quite with conservation of energy and what not but nearly)

Yep that's exactly like it was here. It was short but very sharp. Shoes dried out quite quickly. Socks and jeans not so much.

Had one or two of those showers today but not quit so heavy.
