Weather in France - Calling OYBBK!!!

We're going to france next week (South of Sarlat, near Cahors). The weather is pretty poor there at the moment apparently.

Please can you tell me that from 23rd - 30th Aug it's going to be brilliant sunshine with not a cloud in site get it, cos I'm camping!

I wouldn't hold out any faith at all in a forecast that far out, but at the moment GFS does continue to keep it unsettled I'm afraid. Do you fancy Portugal instead?

Such a shame that the weather is so poor at the moment. We were there this time last year and had 2 weeks of sun with temps of up to 38C!!

Were in Lalinde near Bergerac, yes it's raining and we have had showers most days but it's not cold and when the sun comes out it is very warm. Not usual beautiful sunshine though, thunder storms have been VERY LOUD!

It's more unsettled and cooler than it usually is for that region and I think you will see some showers mid week and again next weekend perhaps (not terribly confident that far out). Temps in the mid to high 20s. I think it will feel rather better than it has here recently though :)
