The Atlantic/Caribbean storm season has finally begun

Tropical Storm Arthur is just clipping the coast of the USA

I hadn't realised that they hadn't had a storm yet. There's a bit about the 2014 season here. (I like how they've got the names sorted for possible future storms already!)

I've been wondering why they havent been initiating and I wonder if its down to the cold pool just where they start to form temperature anomaly map
