It's very windy here today but lovely and sunny too. I was making the most of it and had loads of washing out but my washing line blew down!

kaizen · 11/05/2014 19:58

magimedi no wetsuit. Ever again (I think I'm too fat for it actually). I've been going in all winter without, just for 10 minutes. I think it's 12 degrees now so I want to do a 30 minutes one this week. I understand about the shingle thing, most beaches here are sand but one is really steeply banked and nasty to get out of.

SuperFlyHigh · 11/05/2014 20:01

Horrid weather. neither warm nor cold, vair windy no idea what to wear.

make your bloody mind up weather!

magimedi · 11/05/2014 20:24

kaizen - respect for no wetsuit in 12C!

I would hate to sea swim in a wet suit - I like to feel the water on my body.

Roll on June when I can start to sea swim!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/05/2014 21:59

I do remember us going through a similar spell last spring.

magimedi · 12/05/2014 07:42

I remember it being bloody cold last Spring but it wasn't this windy.

Much calmer her ethis am - hope it doesn't get up as the day goes on.

backinthebox · 12/05/2014 12:38

I was camping over the weekend Shock

Here is the pile of abandoned tents, and also the line of loos shortly before the rest of them blew over. I was at a major sporting event, (second largest in the world according to Wikipedia, but strangely absent from the TV!) And it was carnage all round - in the camp site, on the course, everywhere! The bar was still serving beer and Pimms though - we soldiered on Grin It hasn't put us off, but would prefer for it to be sunnier and less windy next year.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/05/2014 13:03

oh no :( its scary what wind can do to camping! (did you mean to post a picture or a link?)

Titsalinabumsquash · 12/05/2014 13:04

Bad weather is fine this week but I'm banning it from Exeter way next week because I'm in holiday!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/05/2014 13:10

:( Tits. Good luck with the banning!

backinthebox · 12/05/2014 13:19

Haha - I forgot! I had an interrupting phone call part way through typing. Here they are.

I just read the 10 days forecast. Our first glamping venture should be a larf Sad ... Hot tub anyone?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/05/2014 14:31

That is one sad picture :(

Still time for it to change Tits. You never know.
Temps are really building in Russia - up to around 30C. Yet here - we risk a frost in the south first part of next week :(

digerd · 12/05/2014 17:27

SE.
Didn't want to know that as most mornings so far I have had the heating on for an hour at least.
Pattern has been similar since Saturday - rain in the early hours and morning then dry and sunnier throughout the afternoon.
16 atm. Do not want frosty mornings in the middle of May and my wannabe full in bloom climbing roses need it sunnier to be spectacular. They are definitely strugglingSad

digerd · 12/05/2014 18:41

SE
Hmm! Suddenly it poured down and is dark outside Confused

digerd · 12/05/2014 19:11

SE Shock. now thunder and is only 12 degrees Hmm

SuperFlyHigh · 12/05/2014 19:44

ha digerd - it's been bloody freezing here in SE hasn't it?!

had gloves on when out the other day, never sure of what to wear in case it's freezing, pours with rain at drop of a hat then sunny next.

heating on first thing then last thing at night and hot water bottle. they tell us warmer and sunnier end of the week, I'm praying for this! Smile

Sparklingbrook · 13/05/2014 14:02

What is this new weather today? boiling hot sunshine for half an hour then heavy rain. Now there is thunder and lightning. Sad

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/05/2014 15:26

Is that new for you this week Sparkling? It's been our usual pattern these past few days without the T&L. Should be calm tomorrow :)

Sparklingbrook · 13/05/2014 15:30

The pitch black and heavy rain is Sad washing in and out like a yoyo.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/05/2014 16:39

Sparklingbrook · 13/05/2014 16:57

Perihelion · 13/05/2014 21:11

Have had such unremarkable weather I'd almost forgotten about here Grin

But today in Edinburgh we had a really warm sunny morning and then a nice wee thunder storm this afternoon.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/05/2014 22:04
